Cookie Policy

Last Updated: May 2026

Trustap (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as web beacons, pixels, and local storage) to distinguish you from other users of our Platform (www.trustap.com). This helps us provide you with a seamless experience when you browse our Platform and allows us to continually improve our services.

1. What are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

  • Cookies: A cookie is a small text file of letters and numbers that we store on your browser or the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive.
  • Local Storage: This is data stored locally within your browser cache. We use local storage to hold information securely across browser sessions without expiring immediately when the browser closes.

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. No. 336/2011), non-essential cookies and local storage keys will only be placed on your device if you provide your explicit affirmative consent via our Cookie Banner. You can modify or withdraw your consent at any time.

2. The Categories of Trackers We Use

We categorize our tracking technologies into the following distinct groups:

A. Strictly Necessary Trackers (No Consent Required)

These are required for the fundamental operation of the Platform. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of the Platform, prevent fraud, and facilitate secure payment transactions via our third-party infrastructure (Stripe). If you use your browser settings to block these, certain core features of Trustap will not function.

B. Analytical and Performance Trackers (Consent Required)

These allow us to recognize and count the number of visitors, track views of content, and see how users move around the Platform when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way the Platform works—for example, by ensuring that users find what they are looking for easily. This includes aggregate analytics data processed by Google Analytics.

C. Functionality Trackers (Consent Required)

These are used to recognize you when you return to the Platform or when you have logged into the Platform already. This enables us to personalize our content for you, greet you by name, and remember your interface preferences.

D. Marketing, Pixels, and Targeting Trackers (Consent Required)

These record your visit to the Platform, the pages you have visited, and the links you have followed. We use this information to measure the performance of our advertisements, optimize our marketing budgets, and make our Platform more relevant to your interests.

3. Specific Second-Party and Third-Party Trackers

When you grant consent via our Cookie Banner, the following specific technologies are activated on your device:

  • Trustap Lead Attribution (Local Storage): Captures marketing campaign parameters to attribute how a user discovered our Platform. If you submit a contact form, your contact details and associated local marketing campaign parameters (where available and subject to your cookie consent) are synced with Salesforce to manage our business relationships and track inquiry origins.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel: Measures the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram ads, tracks conversion events, and helps us build custom advertising audiences on Meta's network.
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag: Tracks conversion actions originating from LinkedIn ads and provides anonymous professional demographic insights about our traffic.
  • Google Ads Conversion Tracking: Links actions taken on our website (such as form completions) back to our Google Search or Display campaigns to optimize ad delivery.
  • Reddit Pixel: Tracks conversion actions from Reddit ads and allows us to tailor relevant audience targeting on the Reddit platform.

Please note that third-party tracking systems are governed entirely by the privacy and cookie policies of the respective providers (Meta, LinkedIn, Google, and Reddit), over which we exert no direct content control.

Technical Tracker Deployment Table

4. How to Manage and Control Trackers

You have full control over how cookies and tracking technologies are deployed on your device:

  1. Our Cookie Banner: You can accept all, reject all non-essential, or customize your granular tracking preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link located at the footer of our Platform.
  2. Consent Lifespan: In accordance with the guidance of the Irish Data Protection Commission, we will respect your cookie consent choices for a maximum period of 6 months. After this time, or if you access our Platform from a new device or browser, our cookie banner will reappear to ask you to reaffirm your preferences.
  3. Browser Controls: You can adjust your browser settings to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including strictly necessary ones), you may not be able to access all or parts of Trustap’s features, and you may need to log in manually upon every visit.
  4. Clearing Cache: To instantly delete our first-party UTM tracking keys, you can manually clear your browser's local storage and cache via your browser's settings menu at any time.
