It’s crazy to think that we’re already well past the halfway point in 2025. Time’s flying, which is usually a good sign that things are moving in the right direction! I thought it would be a good opportunity to take a look back at some highlights from the last six months here at Trustap: what we’ve built, what we’ve learned and where we’re headed next.
Product: Shipping More, Faster
One of the things I’m most proud of this year is the pace at which our product has evolved. Since January, we’ve rolled out some really impactful new features that have made a real tangible difference for our users.
Here are my top 3 features from the 73 releases from the start of Jan to the end of June this year:
- Embedded Onboarding – Our Marketplace customers can now onboard their users, regardless of whether they’re individuals or businesses, in a super streamlined way. Our dynamic KYC tool now expands and contracts based on the specific capabilities that a user needs for their account, as well as the amount of volume they process, so that we only ask for the minimum required KYC data.
- Geo Expansion – By popular demand, we now offer full support for users in Turkey & Hong Kong.
- Docs Overhaul – Integrating with Trustap has never been easier. In addition to the multiple plugins we support (like Shopify & WooCommerce) we also completely overhauled our API Docs. For custom integrations we now have the lightest of light-touch flows that allows a marketplace to go transactional with a single API call.
Each of these features was shipped in line with 3 key objectives that guide us from a product perspective:
- Make it as easy as possible for our customers to integrate with us
- Make it as easy as possible for end users to transact with us
- Provide world class support to our customers and end users
We’ve also made massive strides on performance, reliability, and user experience under the hood too. These are the kind of tasks that don’t always get the headlines, but it’s core to what we do and makes a massive difference day-to-day.
New Partnerships: Exciting Launches
We’re very fortunate to work with some amazing brands in both the Marketplace and Ecommerce space. In the first half of the year we onboarded brands from 26 different countries working on all sorts of cool products and services. If I had to pick one standout partnership, I would stick to my Irish roots and say DoneDeal Motors. I recently spoke about how excited I was with the launch of DoneDeal, although that was announced in July, it technically launched in H1!
Growth: Graphs Trending Up & To The Right
As well as the major product and partnership progress, we’ve made a lot of commercial progress too. The 3 main KPIs we track are the number of transactions we process, the total GMV passing through the platform and of course, our revenue. Naturally these KPIs tend to follow a similar trend, and our H1 2025 saw big growth across the board:
- Vol. of Transactions: +370%
- GMV Processed: +245%
- Revenue: +280%
What’s been especially encouraging is the reviews we’ve been getting from our customers, it shows me that we’re definitely on the right track.
The Road Ahead
The next six months are already shaping up to be just as busy. We’re working on a massive overhaul of our dashboards, and we’re continuing to double down on the 3 key product objectives outlined above.
